Andrea Causio

Andrea Causio is a researcher on AI and human systems. He previously served as the founder and vice president of the Italian Society of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine.

He is a graduate student in computer science at the University of Pennsylvania, where he leads research strategy projects at the Wharton AGI Collective. He is one of the Journal of Medical Informatics's Early Career Researchers of the Year 2025, and won several prizes for his research and development efforts in digital health.

Previously, he earned his medical degree at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, Italy, where he also completed his postgraduate residency in preventive medicine.
